“School of Commerce and Management visited Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation Ltd”
Jamshedpur,25 January,2023-School of Commerce and Management of Srinath University, Adityapur visited Bihar State Milk Co-operative Federation Ltd , Jamshedpur Dairy located in Gamaharia.The Students of B.com,BBA ,MBA,and M.com had gone for the industrial visit .The students were accompanied by Dr Priyanka Priyadarshini,Head of Department,Nand Kishore Prasad, Assistant Professor and Upendra Deep, Assistant Professor from the School of Commerce and Management.
The students visited the Production area, Marketing Section, Research and Development Lab, Quality Lab and the Packaging area of Jamshedpur Dairy.
Mr Tarun Kumar, Marketing Head of Jamshedpur Dairy coordinated the industrial visit and gave a brief information about the company to the students.” While Interacting with the students,Mr Tarun Kumar said,”The Mother Plant of Jamshedpur Dairy is in Patna ,Bihar .In Jamshedpur Dairy ,the raw material ,that is Milk is first segregated on the basis of its quality and transferred into separate containers.There are two types of milk,Toned Milk and Standard Milk.The Standard Milk is the one which is circulated in the market in green packet.The mark for Toned Milk is ™ and for Standard Milk is SM which is given for clear identification.”
Mr Anupam Kumar ,Incharge of Marketing Area escorted the students inside the dairy and explained them about the functioning and Process of the Dairy.He said ,that “Jamshedpur Diary has secured a better place in the market and is competing Amul .The Dairy Products manufactured by Jamshedpur Dairy are widely demanded by the public here .
Mr Nityanand , Quality expert of Jamshedpur Dairy also interacted with the students.
The Students witnessed the functioning of the plant and the process of packaging of milk into the standard packets.They also got to know about the various dairy products which are packed there,the techniques of quality control,Collection techniques
and the Various ways of maintaing the high standard of various products
and the Procurement method.
Dr Priyanka Priyadarshini ,Head of Department of Commerce and Management said that”Industrial Visits help in getting practical knowledge about the corporate culture .The students have visited the various domains of Jamshedpur Dairy and got an in depth knowledge about the technical know -how .Jamshedpur Dairy has a brand image in the market and Visiting this company and knowing about its working environment was our plan from a very long time.Students were very keen in visiting Jamshedpur Dairy and to know about its management and working operations.”
